There is so much pain and grief tied into the journey of coming to terms with who you are and mourning the support you never received. There is also profound validation, joy, and opportunity to connect with a community where you're understood and supported.
There is no therapeutic "cure" for Neurodivergence, and my stance is that there doesn't need to be. You are a precious and deserve to live fully, make accommodations, and love yourself just as you are. Reach out today.

Celebrate Empower (970) 444-2190 Rachel Shockley, MSW, LCSW she/her/hers www.celebrateempower.org Bayfield, CO
Services Offered : Myself and some healthcare providers started a mental health nonprofit, Celebrate Empower, http://celebrateempower.org, to increase access to care in our rural area. We're recruiting clients for our pilot project: in person, long term counseling. And we're looking to partner with folks to expand what we offer and help meet mental health needs. Holistic, preventative, strengths based, culturally sensitive, and socially connected care are our jam. We also offer traditional counseling and mental health assessments.
Celebrate Empower's therapy space is at 15 W Mill St, Suite 218, Bayfield, CO 81122, in the historic downtown. Open air appointments, where we walk and talk outdoors are also available, and are ADA accessible. The therapy space isn't ADA, since it's upstairs, but an anonymous org in Ignacio just offered for us to use their space if someone requests ADA accommodations! Online appointments are also available.
Individual and group counseling for adults, as well as children and teens with caregivers/parent involvement and coaching are now available. All trauma informed and holistic. Different therapy styles are available, including play therapy, sand tray, expressive arts like drawing and painting, mindfulness, body based, EMDR, and talk therapies like CBT and person centered. Financial accommodations are available based on need and funding. I've attached a flyer for requesting an appointment and one for donating.
